my hell and back 103 survival tips
These are my Hell and Back Survival Tips that I learned; to help me survive the Hell and Back Events, that took place in my life. I started learning these Survival Tips from day one when I was born. Lol. I was a twin but having extreme difficulties going through the birthing process. It felt like they gave up on me. But I wanted to get out of my mother’s womb fast. Hmm. I started kicking like no other. It got everyone’s attention and they helped me out the rest of the way.
Then when I was five years old, the family pet ram, rammed my forehead into the tractor’s steel wheel, leaving a “V” shape scar on my forehead. That reminds me every time I looked in the mirror, I’ll will have victory in the Hell and Back events in my life.
To the Korean War, a vehicle accident, a heart attack, multiple bypasses, my marriage, and then the passing of my free movie sweetheart.
In all those Hell and Back experiences, I learned how to be at peace with myself and the Creator.
My hope is that ALL these Hell and Back Survival Tips that I learned; will be a blessing to you and your loved ones, as they have for me and my loved ones.
My life story is available in my autobiography book called Hell and Back, by Optimum Vizhan.
we SEPARATED these 103 Survival tips...
Into Seven Categories: Spirit, Mind, Body, Skills, Life, Relationships, and Family. This will give us the option to focus on the tips, in one aspect of our life journey. If we want to see all the tips about Relationships, we can read them all together versus scattered throughout the 103 Survival Tips.
NOTE: We keep the same reference number for each tip to be consistent between book additions: Hell and Back, My Hell and Back 103 Survival Tips, and My Hell and Back 103 Survival Tips Plus by Optimum Vizhan.
WHY: The Plus version? This version is for those who enjoy the raw blunt usage of descriptive words while giving deeper insights into my dad and mom’s relationship and dad’s tips. This version gives hints of a darker side and the last book in this sequel…which takes these tips to a whole deeper level.
LAST NOTE: Knowing the beginning and the ending of this book series; as the author and single parent, raising my children by myself with zero financial help. I would take learning these tips in baby steps; one book at a time, starting with the first one. This gives us the greatest understanding of these tips.
BUT: If you are on limited funds and time then start with the book that meets your immediate needs. If this was me then I would start with this book.
REMEMBER: The core of this Hell and Back Series was done in a son-and-father interview style. I actually was asking my dad these questions and wrote the tips down as he said them. My comments back to him are noted as “Son:”
examples from the book!
MIND SURVIVAL TIP: 2. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Get Focused. Look Out. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Son: Dad your funny, witty and full of wisdom all at the same time. Of which it helped you through all those multiple near-death hellish moments, you experience and live to tell about. Then you summed all that wisdom up, in the one repeated letter “R.” Amazing. Who could imagine that hearing the RRRRRRRRRR would mean, I’m getting focused… Look Out! Lol.
MIND SURVIVAL TIP: 54. Never take anything serious. Something doesn’t go normal or planned; think it over to keep it going. Sometimes you put stuff in that doesn’t do a d@mn thing for what your trying to do. Sometimes you can back off and let it work out.
Son: Did I mention that my dad was a Master Tibetan Monk at this? He honestly didn’t take anything serious to put himself in the mindset of being able to quickly adjust to any situation. It increased his odds of getting through a task and or problem much quicker. Versus getting mentally all jacked up about it. So why not nip it in the rear end upfront and be open for other ways to accomplish your tasks at hand. NOTE: There’s more in the book.
…
SKILLS SURVIVAL TIP: 14. Every Child Should Grow Up on a Farm. Every child doesn’t need to grow up on a farm. Go where he or she wants to go. Do everything on the farm. Sets you up to go wherever you want to go. A lot of different jobs on the farm.
Son: And this summarizes what we said lastly in the last tip, before this one. NOTE: That would be in reference to TIP 13.
SKILLS SURVIVAL TIP: 47. Do it until it Becomes Automatically Naturally so that You can Enjoy it. Do what you want to do. Changing times of milking a cow, the cow will dry up sooner than later.
Son: No matter what you pursue as a skill and or just daily chores around the house, learn it until you don’t think about what your doing. This allows the mind to be more aware of its surroundings, so nothing ever surprises you. Takes you off guard.
…
LIFE SURVIVAL TIP: 96. Only Take the Advice From People Who Experienced What You Have Experienced.
Son: Dad learned this early on. Getting up every morning before six am to milk the cows: helping with the farm chores. at the age of five. Yup. He said he was so small, he had to sit on a bucket to milk the cows. Lol.
Son: So, with his work ethics at the age of five, dad would only take advice from those who actually had proof of work. NOTE: There’s more in the book.
…
RELATIONSHIP SURVIVAL TIP: 35. If your spouse/partner wants to leave let them. You’ll find out How Much they really love you.
Son: I thought dad was crazy, when I was learning this while growing up in dad’s house.
Son: Mom would get so pissed off at dad at times, she would leave the house, with the loud sounds of a slamming door behind her. That loud BAM resonated in my heart heart big time. My mom was my everything. She helped me conquered kids laughing at me, in third grade. NOTE: There’s more in the book.
…
FAMILY SURVIVAL TIP: 63. Before you Get a Pet for Your Child be Willing to Take Care of it Yourself. If not, it would be better to spend that time with your child. You’re with them the shortest amount of time.
Son: Really wouldn’t have to add any more to that. It speaks for itself.
Son: Dad ended up getting us a dog, his nickname was smug. Dad and mom surprised us on one of our coming back, from an out-of-state trip to see mom’s mother. I took a liking to smug the first and second time I saw him. We had two dogs to choose from. Smug would naturally wanting to hang out with me, then everyone else. NOTE: There’s more in the book…
OK. That’s the Enough of the Examples.
